Tatsuo MAJIMA / 眞島竜男
Graduated from Goldsmiths College, University of London in 1993 and joined in Studio Shokudo in 1997-2000. Previously the lecturer for B-semi Learning System of Contemporary Art in 2000-2004. His practice highlights the ironies of reality through the absurdity of his performative acts. On first site the actions appear to be improvised, yet they are carefully constructed through various media. His recent works serve as a ‘trace’ of the ordinary life of influential people – a portrayal of the social-reality of causality.
