2020年ALLOTMENTトラベルアワード受賞者は、ルシアナ・ハナキさん。
The Winner of the Allotment Travel Award 2020 is Luciana Janaqui

2020年ALLOTMENTトラベルアワードは、コロナ禍の状況にも関わらず国内外のアーティスト64名からご応募いただきました。今年はオンラインでの審査となり、ロンドン＞上海＞東京＞名古屋を繋いで金澤韻氏、眞島竜男氏、による厳正な審査の結果、ルシアナ・ハナキさんに受賞が決定いたしました。ルシアナ・ハナキさんはペルーに生まれ、現在ベルギー在住。2017に卒業したCentro de la Imagen（ラテンアメリカ現代写真修士課程）在学中に活動を始め、異文化や多言語の狭間で揺動する「私」やネット上の破砕した個人性から世界を捉え直し、身体というデバイスと記録装置としてのメモリーとの関係の解体・再構築をテーマとして、制作を展開しています。今回のトラベルアワードの目的地はペルーのクスコとマチュピチュなど、そこで他者の記憶を自己にインストールすることで生まれてくる作品を制作するというプロポーザルでした。

The 2020 ALLOTMENT Travel Award received 64 submissions from artist all over Japan and overseas, despite the current situation of the COVID-19. This year’s judgment committee was conducted online, connecting London> Shanghai> Tokyo> Nagoya, and as a result of strict screening by two judges Kodama KANAZAWA and Tatsuo MAJIMA they awarded Luciana Janaqui for this year’s prize! The Peruvian-Japanese artist Luciana Janaqui (b. 1987, Lima) currently lives and work in Belgium. She graduated at the Máster Latinoamericano de fotografía contemporánea, Centro de la Imagen, Lima in 2017. Her work explores overlaps, differences, and exchanges of personal memories. Through her photographic, filmic, and performative projects, she often attempts to “uninstall” her own memory and “reinstall” them into other people’s body through images and words, or “copy” people’s past experiences and “paste” them into her own body by reenacting them physically.
